TRAVELING TO JAMAICA

TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION FOR ENTRANCE INTO JAMAICA

Starting July 10, 2020, all travelers from New York, Florida, Arizona and Texas in the USA will be required to upload a negative Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result. The date of the test must be within 10 days of the arrival date in order to obtain a Travel Authorization.

Jamaica requires that visitors undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival at the airport. Travelers must stay at their hotel or resort for at least 24-48 hours while they await their test results. "If a traveler tests positive for COVID-19 on arrival, the person will be isolated in a public health facility for a minimum period of 14 days, or until they are able to produce two consecutive negative tests in a 48-hour period," said Donovan White, Jamaica's Director of Tourism

Beginning June 15, all arriving passengers will be required to complete a Travel Authorization form prior to their arrival to Jamaica. Please be sure to complete this prior to your departure and bring a copy of the approved/completed form to the airport at time of travel. Airlines will require proof of completed documentation.

Introduced in June 2020, the sole use of the information collected here is to assess the health risks of all persons intending to travel to Jamaica and to auto-populate portions of the Immigration and Customs C5 form to enhance the process on your arrival.

We recommend reviewing US Department of State's travel advisories and www.visitjamaica.com to stay notified on international travel.
