The future of family travel?

Day Three: I think I’ve seen the future of family travel. It’s called Azul Fives (http://www.karismahotels.com) and it’s about a half hour south of we’re staying just outside of Playa del Carmen. Originally, we were supposed to stay here—I liked the location (plenty of action in town for the young adults, Mayan ruins a short drive away, good diving and snorkeling right from the resort). But the resort’s opening was postponed until early 2009.

An up-close look at the Azul Sensatori near Cancun

DAY 4—Welcome to a 21st century kids’ club. This might be the best kids’ club I’ve seen. Certainly one of the bestthanks
to partnerships with My Gym and Fisher Price at the Karisma Azul Sensatori resort just south of Cancun (http://www.karismahotels.com). There is a big play room complete with trampoline and balls to jump in.

Paradise Found ...in Mexico's Maya Riviera

Plunge into an underwater paradise, get close to nature, unveil an amazing culture, enjoy this fabulous land, and live a worldy unique Mexican celebration.

Many travelers have been to the “mini-Miami Beaches” of Acapulco and Cancun, but there is a new world of travel delight now in full swing along the “Maya Riviera,” the hundred mile stretch of gorgeous beaches south of old Cancun. Also in the
Mexican State with the marvelous name of Quintana Roo, this new stretch reaches from the international airport down to the ancient but impressive Mayan pyramidal ruins of Tulum, one of the very few cities the Maya ever built.
